1. Preamble
These General Booking Conditions (“GBC”) govern all services provided by Prince Tours, an excursion agency based in Santa Maria, Sal island, Cape Verde.
Any booking implies the customer’s full and complete acceptance of these GBC. If you have any questions, contact us via WhatsApp at +238 958 87 56 before booking.
2. Booking
2.1. Procedure
Booking is made exclusively via WhatsApp, phone or email. No online payment is required to confirm the request.
The booking becomes firm once Prince Tours confirms in writing (WhatsApp or email) the availability of the date, time and number of participants.
2.2. Confirmation time
We undertake to respond to any request within less than one hour during our opening hours (8 AM-10 PM, Cape Verde time, GMT-1).
2.3. Minimum capacity
Some activities (catamaran, zipline, turtle watching) require a minimum number of participants. If this minimum is not reached, Prince Tours may offer a postponement or full refund if payment was already made.
3. Payment
Payment is made in cash (EUR or CVE) or by credit card directly to the Prince Tours team at the meeting point or before the activity starts.
No deposit is requested for standard bookings. For groups (≥ 10 people) or private equipment rentals (full-day catamaran, private big game fishing), a 30% deposit may be requested by bank transfer or in cash on arrival.
Accepted currencies: EUR (official daily exchange rate) and CVE (Cape Verdean escudo).
4. Cancellation
4.1. Cancellation by the customer
- More than 24 hours before the activity: free cancellation, no fees.
- Between 24 hours and 12 hours: 50% of the price due if deposit was paid.
- Less than 12 hours or no-show: 100% of the price due if deposit was paid.
4.2. Cancellation by Prince Tours
Prince Tours reserves the right to cancel or postpone an activity in case of:
- Adverse weather conditions (rough sea, wind alert, etc.)
- Minimum number of participants not reached
- Force majeure (see §8)
In these cases, full refund of any sum already paid, or possibility of postponement at no charge.
5. Modifications
Any change request (date, time, number of people) must be notified to Prince Tours at least 24 hours before the activity.
Modifications are accepted subject to availability and do not entail any additional fees within reason.
6. Liability
6.1. Prince Tours commitment
Prince Tours undertakes to provide the services described in each activity description with professionalism and in compliance with the safety rules applicable in Cape Verde.
All our guides are experienced and our equipment (quads, buggies, jets, boats) is regularly maintained.
6.2. Customer liability
The customer undertakes to:
- Follow safety instructions given by guides and the pre-activity briefing
- Present the required documents (valid driving licence for quad/buggy, etc.)
- Declare any medical condition that may affect the practice of the activity
- Adopt respectful behaviour towards the crew, other participants and the environment
6.3. Minors
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Written parental authorisation may be requested for some risk activities (jet ski, diving).
6.4. Limitation
Prince Tours declines any responsibility in case of damage resulting from the customer’s failure to comply with safety instructions, or from reckless behaviour.
7. Insurance
Prince Tours is covered by Professional Civil Liability insurance covering bodily and material damages that may be caused to customers within the normal scope of our activities.
We strongly recommend our customers to take out their own travel insurance covering the water and land sports practised during their stay in Cape Verde.
💡 Tip: most premium credit cards (Visa Premier, Mastercard Gold, etc.) include travel insurance covering sports activities. Check your contract before departure.
8. Force majeure
Force majeure includes any unpredictable and irresistible events beyond the parties’ control, including:
- Natural disasters (cyclone, flood, earthquake)
- Maritime or weather conditions making the activity dangerous
- Local authority decisions (sailing prohibition, site closure)
- Pandemic, epidemic or government health measures
- Transport strike affecting access to the meeting point
In case of force majeure, Prince Tours will offer a free postponement or full refund, with no party held responsible.
9. Personal data (GDPR)
Personal data collected (first name, last name, email, phone, message) are used exclusively to process your booking request and send you information related to your activity.
In accordance with GDPR and Cape Verdean data protection law, you have the right to access, rectify, delete and oppose your data. To exercise these rights, write to: contact@prince-tours.net.

10. Disputes & applicable law
These GBC are subject to Cape Verdean law.
In case of dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution before any legal action. Failing agreement, the competent courts of the Republic of Cape Verde (Praia) will have exclusive jurisdiction.
